About us

Bakers of Nailsea has been established over 100 years and is currently run by Toby Baker, together with his sons James and Russell.

At the heart of the business is our small, family-run abattoir, which caters for farmers providing cattle, pigs and lambs for our wholesale trade and smaller scale producers, requiring slaughter and butchery of their livestock.  All of our private butchery at the abattoir is undertaken by our butchery team, over seen by Master Butcher Jamie Vowles, who joined us in 2013.

Our thriving Butchers shop in North Street, Nailsea  was established in the 1960’s and is managed by John Vowles, who joined the team in 2012, bringing with him over 30 years experience in retail butchery.
