Farming

The farming aspect of the business is vital. A strong network of local suppliers has been built up over many years, enabling the company to promote traceability and the ‘farm to fork’ ethos. Since the horse meat scandal, the demand for responsibly farmed, quality produce that has full traceability has increased dramatically. The advantage of being a small family run business is the service we can provide on this front. Being on first name terms with the farmers we buy from helps create a close knit working relationship. Our meat can be traced to the farmers that we know and trade with, some of which we have dealt with for generations.

Whilst we have many long term relationships with our farmers, we are always interested in speaking to potential new suppliers, so please do not hesitate to contact us at the abattoir.
