Welcome to Bakers of Nailsea

Bakers of Nailsea is a small family run cutting plant and retail butchery based in Nailsea, North Somerset. The business was started over 100 years ago by Thomas Baker and is now into its 5th generation, with Toby Baker and his two sons Russell and James currently running the business.

The Shop

Opening Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm | Saturday 7am-3pm | Sunday Closed

Our retail butchers shop can be found on North Street, Nailsea. Managed by John Vowles who has over 30 years of experience in retail management, the shop also benefits from a young, vibrant team of staff – bringing together an important blend of knowledge and enthusiasm.

Beef, pork and lamb sold in the shop is traceable back to our regular local farmers and other West Country suppliers. We have several long term connections with farmers including beef from our family farm, outdoor reared pork from James Mithcell and free range chicken from Castlemead Farm.

We have weekly special offers on a variety of fresh and frozen products. We offer free home delivery to local areas and a convenient click and collect service.

The Cutting Plant

The cutting plant offers a local wholesale delivery service for butchers and has recently extended and improved the private processing service for small holders, with customers from Somerset, Bristol and beyond choosing to use our service.

Small holders using this service can expect a high quality performance throughout the entire process whether it be dry-ageing, butchery, packaging or labelling – which can be tailored to the individual requirements of each customer.
